Stepping Hill Stone


Memorial stone set in a flower bed at the entrance to Stepping Hill Hospital.

The plaque reads "This stone commemorates the establishment of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust on 1 April 2004. Dedicated to serving the people of Stockport and the High Peak."

    What a nice and unusual idea, a plaque like this is usually just on a boring wall somewhere. Pretty geraniums.

    sorry I did not see memorial stone....... I was in the back of ambulance, did not notice it coming out of hospital just glad to get out ,but the next time I go for a check up I will keep my eyes open for this fine stone
