New signs on Bridge Streeet

Now that all the works have been completed around Lancashire Bridge new pedestrian signage has been erected at the bottom of Bridge Street.

Attached is a panel with a sketch of the Marketplace and a poster about events although the information was already out of date when I took this photograph.

It seems disappointingly plain and utilitarian to me.

A contribution to signs, signs.

  3. Plain would be OK, but out of date would not! We just moved to our small city downtown and are starting to make use of public transportation.

  4. It certainly easier to follow that the ones I would see in Ireland when I was lost on some unknown road. The wooden pieces would be going in all directions with sometimes more than one name on them. Way tooooo confusing for this old gal.

  5. Any sign with a salamander on it can't be all bad.

  6. It does look a bit utilitarian. Planners should look at Signs, Signs to get some clever ideas.
