The Ashlea is a Chef and Brewer pub on Manchester Road, Cheadle.
I don't know anything about its history and I suspect the coat of arms featured on the pub sign is a modern made-up image and not some proper family crest.
A contribution to

It does seem to have a modern feel to it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a very neat place to go.

I've only heard that as a girl's name, curious. As it is a chef and brewer (which I suspect is one to avoid) it must be what is on the menu:-)
ReplyDeleteThe two buildings are so different that I thought it was two different pubs until I looked closely at the signs. Yes, the coat of arms looks like a lot of bulls to me. Perhaps the specialize in beef?
ReplyDeleteHow was the eats?

What a great streetscape. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to go in and give the place a try.
ReplyDeleteThere used to be a company that would "research" your family crest. Actually they made one up and sent it for a fee.
ReplyDeleteNice building by the look of it.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that coats of arms had a a variety of symbols on them and this looks like the same animal repeated. Still it looks like a friendly pub.
ReplyDeleteI should take a trip over there JUST to do a pub tour! They all look so great!
