Sign of the Full Shilling

Last month I brought you the rear of the Full Shilling and the front of the Full Shilling.

Here now is the sign for the Full Shilling.

For those who don't know, it features not an English shilling but an Irish shilling.

A contribution to ABC Wednesday and signs, signs.

  1. What a wonderful pub sign. Wish I could occasionally drop by for a pint and some interesting conversation (crack).

  5. Why is it bronze-coloured? Surely the Irish shilling, like the English (or should that be British?) shilling was silver-coloured?

  7. I love this! I don't drink (alcohol), but loved visiting pubs in the UK and on Isle of Man the times I was over there! We just don't have these social places anywhere in Africa!
