The roadway over the top of St Petersgate Bridge is being replaced and the road is closed although there is still pedestrian access around one side.
Behind the fence is a mobile canteen and toilets for the workmen.

construction destruction. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot going on there...
ReplyDelete2 fences for the price of one.... the man hole fence!
ReplyDeleteA typical Stockport scene with rain drenched pavements....lol
Hopefully the end result will make the inconvenience worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteConstruction sites are always so messy...but I am sure the end result will be very nice!
ReplyDeleteInteresting, busy shots.
ReplyDeleteLooks miserable to me. This year was a busy year for bridge construction north of Toronto so I feel the pain of anyone trying to cross to the other side.
ReplyDeleteWhen construction takes place on a bridge, the traffic must find another route. Looks like the workers might be there for some time.
ReplyDeleteLOL at TexWis Girl! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood idea for a dual-meme entry, Gerald, Friday Fences and Sunday Bridges.
Perhaps the rain kept the dust from the construction down - thought the workers would probably prefer it to be sunny and dry.
Doi we know when tgese works are finishing?? I want to get a pic for my wedding day underneath it
