I like the idea of having the street names put on building. I think it makes it easier to see.

It always seems to make it easier to find them when they are on a building.
We loved that the street signs were posted on the buildings when we were in London! Especially when the building is that beautiful old brick.
I really like the idea of putting street name signs on buildings.
Since street names rarely change, a permanent sign attached to a building makes sense. They also don't get so battered with snowballs, etc. (not that I have ever done that!)
